From The Young Designers

1. Divine Insulation

how old do you have

to be to be

a young designer?

determined to move

away from design

in a literal sense

starting up like people do

the wall has exploded

pink sheets of fibreglass

insulation spill out

over an open safe

your poise curled

into the softness

against a knotty

hardboard backdrop

silver platforms

with a smock

athwart a diagonal

expression

your discomfort the

pose belies a sudden

lapse of balance

to a burst carton

an empty bottle

designed by Renzo Piano

dress by Sabyasachi

2. On the Rails

4. Dome Head

a hot snake of wood

above a concrete wall

falters down to domed

sparrow-like sans noose

dressed to kill tho’

ventilation other clothes

are his own clothes

he owns his own clothes

a concept as much as a

studio

I like to keep my hand

in a new chapter a

reunion between decoration

and design

my leg has become

a tie-pin

I’m going to launch

a new range of scarves

early last year

I’m praying to receive

a self-conscious interiors
